    Behind The Music: Notorious B.I.G. shows the Brooklyn-born MC rising from the streets to the throne of hip hop, revealing how his thriving career and larger-than-life presence was cut short when he was gunned down at 24.

    The show features interview footage with Puffy Combs, Russell Simmons, journalists Rob Marriott and Dream Hampton, manager Mr. Cee, and members of Biggie's "Junior Mafia" crew, as well as Biggie's wife, R&B singer Faith Evans, and his mother Voletta Wallace.     Behind the Music is a television series on VH1. It originally ran from 1997 to 2006, before it was stopped and only aired new episodes sporadically. The series places its generality on documentation of musical artists or groups who are interviewed and profiled, and discuss how their careers became successful and what hardships they undertook. The show was re-aired on September 10, 2009, documenting profiles of T.I., Lil Wayne, Jennifer Hudson, Fantasia Barrino, Eve, 50 Cent, and Pink.[1] As of March 15, 2012 the new remastered version of 'Behind The Music' airs weekly and features a new version of Aaliyah's 'Behind The Music', as well as Brandy, Busta Rhymes, Akon, T-Pain, The Notorious B.I.G., The Game, Pitbull and more.
