
On a recent episode of Jeopardy! a contestant named gave one of the most dumbfounded answers in the history of the show. The contestant was wrong on all accounts.
After longtime host Alex Trebek asked for the name of the emcee who was fatally shot on March 9, 1997 — which was the Notorious B.I.G. — a competitor swiftly volunteered to answer, but swiftly came up with the wrong response. “Who is Two Pack?” she quietly said.
The answer was “This ‘Big Poppa’ rapper was killed on March 9, 1997 as he left a music industry party in Los Angeles.”
The question is obviously “Who is The Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie Smalls?”
Maybe it was nerves, maybe it was disbelief at how easy the question was, we don’t know. But somehow Sara managed to give the wrongest [yes, we’re making up a word for this] and perhaps Whitest answer possible.
When it comes to not knowing who Biggie is, she has Lil Yachty beat by a longshot.
Jeopardy!, which has been on the air since the mid-60s, has made headlines in the music world for their hip-hop centered questions. From Drake to Kanye West, contestants had to showcase their knowledge of not only geographic or historical facts, but also past and present artists who’ve created their own path in a pop culture world.
