Faith Releases Two Tracks From Notorious BIG Joint Album

For years, Faith Evans toyed with the idea of releasing her collaborative project The King and I with her late husband, rapper The Notorious B.I.G. On Tuesday, Evans dished out the first two singles: "NYC" featuring Jadakiss and "When We Party" with Snoop Dogg.

"NYC" serves as an ode to the hometown of both The Notorious B.I.G. and Jadakiss, who each lay out gritty verses. Biggie's verse originated from his 1993 "Mumbling and Whispering" freestyle: "Open your eyes, realize ain't no sugar in my tank/ Out of all my friends, there's just one I want to thank/ My man Big D taught me a lesson that was great/ That good things come to those who wait."

While B.I.G. and Jada trade verses, Evans captures the ambiance of the concrete jungle with her sweet hook. “I got love for New York City,” she sings on the chorus.
