  • Faith Evans on Her 'Legacy' With Notorious B.I.G.: Video Exclusive

Counting down to the May 19 release of The King & I, Faith Evans drops a new music video today (April 21) for another track from her long-awaited duets album with late husband Notorious B.I.G. Titled “Legacy,” the mid-tempo tune features unreleased Biggie vocals in tandem with Evans singing about what was, what might have been and the strong connection between the two that still endures.

Taking a trip back to Biggie’s Brooklyn, New York stomping ground at St. James Place and Fulton Street, Evans revisits the pair’s relationship through home-movie type clips and photos. “I knew from the very first moment / That you were a king fit just for a queen,” she sings. “I could tell from day one that you were for me / Who knew that this love would be the legacy.”

Produced by Evans and Stevie J, “Legacy” is the fourth selection from The King & I following earlier releases “When We Party” featuring Snoop Dogg, “NYC” featuring Jadakiss and “Ten Wife Commandments.” The 25-track set, with additional guest appearances by Busta Rhymes, Lil Kim and others, also boasts production by DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Salaam Remi and Chucky Thompson.
