Faith & Jadakiss Pay Homage to BIG in the "NYC" video visual

It doesn't get any more New York than a Faith Evans, Jadakiss and the late great Notorious B.I.G. collaboration on wax. In the new visual released on Thursday (Aug. 3) for "NYC," Evans and Jadakiss pay homage to the gritty streets that helped bolster their careers.

Traveling back to their stomping grounds, the visual opens with shots overlooking the city's skyscrapers and a clip of Brooklyn's Jay Street-MetroTech train station, associated with fellow Brooklyn rapper JAY-Z.


"The game is forever a part of me//'Cause as far as NYC, I'm the main artery," Jadakiss raps. Evans joins in and sings her love letter to her hometown, as the two perform in front of the colorful Biggie mural. "I got love for New York City/ And they got love for me and B-I-G/ They always gon' hold us down, we got that work in New York City," Evans sings over a classic, east-coast style boom-bap beat. "Where they be talkin' real fast, all about the cash, New York City, New York City."

Evans' "NYC" visual comes just one day following the official renaming of a Bed-Stuy neighborhood park to honor The Notorious B.I.G. On Wednesday (Aug. 2), Crispus Attucks Playground was renamed to Christopher "Biggie" Wallace Courts.
