Legendary rapper Daddy-O, one time part of the group Stetsasonic, stepped up to Ebro in the Morning show at Hot 97 to give some classic stories about some of his experiences throughout the years. Daddy-O went back from the beginning of hip hop, and the use of break beats, to the current Afrobeat influence. He also speaks on his experiences working with the late great
Notorious B.I.G., Foxy Brown meeting Lil Kim for the first time, and LL Cool J writing MC Lyte's verse in the classic 1989 track "Self Destruction."
On Daddy-O's latest album, "From My Hood 2 U", Daddy-O names drops Biggie on the track entitled "Drumma Man":
"
I took time off I had to think of Biggie
Half ya woke, the other half lit me"
