Bronx superstar Cash Cobain is crowned by his mother Priscilla Small in our 47th Anniversary Pelle Pelle jacket — a powerful moment honoring both legacy and royalty. Inspired by the late great Notorious B.I.G.’s iconic portrait by @barronclaiborne , Creative Director @linkbobbidigital reimagines a new era where Cash carries the torch for NYC — a rising legend, crowd favorite, and ladies’ choice.
“Cash Is King” is more than a title — it’s a passing of the crown. Because anyone can claim the throne... But only the Queen crowns the King. Cash Cobain is a creative genius thats so far ahead of his time (& I think he knows but thats a whole different post ) I meditated on this concept w my brother Christian for a few months struggling to settle on a way to bring it to life because I wanted to make sure it was as impactful as possible without being criticized or misinterpreted. But sometimes thats exactly what makes great art!
I’ve never heard Cash compare or self proclaim himself at all in fact and I guess in a way thats part of what makes me admire his artistry. Make great art & let the people call it how they see it! I was inspired by Jonathan Mannion’s iconic photo of BIG and what he meant to NYC being a voice for the city. They shared a lot in common beyond resemblance and love for all the women in the place with style and grace
